ABRIEFHISTORY

In 1968 the Nottingham Traditional Music Club newsletter ran the following advert

‘WANTED!!!

A number of sturdy males to form an N.T.M.C. Morris Team

No experience necessary -  but strong legs and lungs are vital.

It’s not so “pansy” as most people seem to think.

Have a go!

Let’s get our own club team into action’.

The NTMC Morris team was on its way and the first practice was organised at the

Dolphin Pub in Nottingham the following January.

Sadly the Dolphin pub has since burnt down, but happily The Dolphin Morris Men have been dancing, playing and singing their way around Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire for over 45 years - unbroken.

This site attempts to chronicle those years.

A photographic and video archive is available here.
